Event Description
Information was received from a healthcare provider (hcp) via a company representative regarding a patient receiving an unknown medication via an implanted pump. The indication for pump use was spinal pain. It was reported that the patient was in the er (emergency room) having overdose symptoms. They had the patient on a narcan drip, and the patient was reacting well to the narcan, so they believed the pump was overinfusing. The plan was to check the pump and then set the pump to minimum rate, stop the pump, or permanently shut it down. No additional information was available at the time of the report.
