Event Description
Medtronic received a report that a patient death was reported.The patient experienced an intracranial hemorrhage and hematoma within ischemic field with space-occupying effect involving greater than 30% of the infarcted area ph-2.In addition, there was anticoagulation and brain infarction and was casually related to the disease under study.The adverse event was probably related to the underlying condition or disease.The adverse event was not related to a device deficiency.The patient's mrs score was 0 and the nihss score was 24.The site related assessment determined the event was not related to the device or study procedure.The sponsor deemed the event serious and possibly related to the procedure.The location of the proximal clot was the carotid t, right hemisphere.The pre-procedure mtici score was 0 and the final post-procedure mtici score was 2c.
