Event Description
It was reported by an attorney that the patient underwent hernia repair surgery on (b)(6) 2016 and mesh was implanted.It was reported that the patient underwent removal surgery on (b)(6) 2018 during which the surgeon noted omental adhesions to the old mesh at the area of umbilicus which were carefully taken down, mesh was noted to have tails that went up into the more superficial portion of the abdominal wall which were excised and removed, along with scar tissue.It was reported that the patient experienced severe pain, nausea, fatigue and vomiting.No additional information was provided.
