It was reported that the patient with this cardiac resynchronization therapy defibrillator (crt-d) had a bacterial infection with sepsis.The patient was treated with intravenous antibiotics.Reportedly, the patient was unconscious, had to go to the emergency room and for resuscitation.Furthermore, the physicians removed the gall bladder and patient was told there was a lot of infection there.All available information indicates that as of this time, the cardiac resynchronization therapy defibrillator (crt-d) system remains in service.No additional adverse patient effects were reported.
