Event Description

Information was received from a patient (pt) regarding an implantable neurostimulator (ins).It was reported that the pt pulled a muscle right where the ins is a few of weeks ago.Pt said the battery seemed to have come loose and is moving around and very painful.Pt said they do have a call into their health care provider but said it was now hard to charge since it was so painful.The patient was redirected to their healthcare provider to further address the issue.

Additional information received from the patient reported that the step taken to resolve the issue about the ins being dislodged is that the doctor provide that the patient a steroid to heal it into place quickly.The patient reported that they were still healing with steroid and surgery will be scheduled if it doesn¿t heal.
