It was reported that the ventricular assist device (vad) exhibited low flow alarms and the patient was admitted for "vad adjustment." the vad remains in use.No further patient complications have been reported as a result of this event.

It was further reported that the patient also underwent drug dose adjusment and pacemaker configuration change during the hospitalization.The patient was discharged from the hospital with a decrease in occurrence of the low flow alarms.The suction alarm was originally sounding frequently and the alert was turned off during hospitalization.
