Event Description
Information was received from a patient via healthcare provider who was implanted with an implantable neurostimulator (ins) for spinal pain indications. The caller reported the patient has redness at implant site, that it looked like a burn circle around the battery, patient has pain and it's hot to touch, with drainage and skin peeling off.Issue started last week.Technical services(ts) reviewed with caller that recharging shouldn't cause this since there is a limit to how much the system heats up before recharging will stop.Redirected caller to hcp to assess.Troubleshooting was not required. The issue was not resolved through troubleshooting. The patient was redirected to their healthcare provider to further address the issue.
