Event Description
|
Information was received from a patient who was implanted with an implantable neurostimulator (ins).The reason for call was pt reported she is having trouble with therapy.Pt stated it doesn't feel like stim is staying on.It feelslike it is going on / off.Since 3 - 4 weeks ago.Pt stated she was in the hospital because she feel flat on her back onto concrete - pt stated since the fall she is having leg pain.At night when she lays down her legs just kill her and when she get up in the morning they hurt when pt tries to increase stimulation she is getting "settings not available" message.Pt stated she is not sure who her hcp is but she goes to summit spine and joint center in snellville or lawrenceville gapt does not want to take any pain med because they make her constipated which can be worse than the pain.Pt stated she did take pain medication last night so she could sleep and again today because her pain is so bad.Pt stated that rep harrison is aware of the error message since last friday (b)(6) 2022.Pss suggested that pt contact her hcp and pss is sending a message to the field rep to make them aware of pt call.The patient was redirected to their healthcare provider to further address the issue.Redirected caller: patient's hcp.

Additional information was received from the manufacturer representative.It was reported that they met with mdt rep.In person to for "adjustments" due to the issues the pt mentioned in this case.Pt noted their stimulation would still feel like the stimulation was going on/off.Pt called their mdt rep.Wednesday, thursday, and friday, and left voicemails/text messages, but has not received a response from their mdt rep.And they had horrible leg pain.Patient services specialist (pss) reviewed role of rep and provided the pt with the nas number.Pss re-directed pt to their hcp for next steps.

Additional information was reported that the patient reported stimulator was working well; she suffered a series fall and was hospitalized.The patient has a return of pain.She reported stimulator was not working as well after the fall- clinical specialist checked connection and impedance (all green)- programming was tailored to address pain areas for patient.The issue was resolved.
