Event Description
|
Medtronic received information regarding a navigation system being used intraoperatively during a cervical spine procedure.It was reported that it cost the surgeon 15-20 minutes of operating room (or) time trying to get the screw on the clamp to engage so it could clamp to the spinous process.The surgeon had to use an older discontinued version.There was a surgical delay of less than one hour.There was no impact on the patient outcome.
