Event Description
Medtronic received information that during the implant of this transcatheter bioprosthetic valve via right femoral artery access, the valve was recaptured one time for an unknown reason.During the procedure, an unspecified major hemorrhage occurred.However, it was reported that no additional medical intervention was required and the implant procedure was successful.The following post-procedural complications were also reported: anemia (hemoglobin reduction) treated with blood transfusion of 2 units, cerebral ischemia, and acute renal failure.No treatment was provided.Fifteen days following the valve implant, a permanent pacemaker was implanted.The patient was discharged one month and five days after the valve implant procedure.No additional adverse patient effects were reported.
