Event Description
According to the literature source of study performed between 2017 and 2018, a prospective study compare outcomes of lichtenstein repair using a self-fixing mesh versus the standard lightweight mesh.A total of 141 of 150 patients with inguinal hernia included in the study were divided into two groups.Self gripping mesh group with 53 patients and the competitor mesh group with 88 patients.Post operative complications in the self gripping mesh included: hematoma, seroma, infection, pain and recurrence.The hernia repair procedures were carried out as part of 3-day hospitalization.
