Event Description
Information was received from multiple sources (healthcare provider, clinical study) regarding a patient who was receiving dilaudid (hydromorphone) (10 mg at 5.17826 mg/day) and bupivacaine (15 mg at 7.76738 mg/day) via an implantable pump for unknown indications for use.It was reported that the patient fell causing wound dehiscence.The patient had wound care for the open wound and was given antibiotics but the infection progressed.On (b)(6) 2023 the pump was explanted and the patient was hospitalized until (b)(6) 2023 for antibiotic iv therapy.
