Event Description
Information was received from a patient who was receiving dilaudid (hydromorphone) (did not ask mg/ml at did not ask mg/day) via an implantable pump indicated for non-malignant pain.It was reported that the patient's personal therapy manager (ptm) was showing her that the pump had been stalled for 357 hours and 47 min when she connected to the pump to bolus.The patient stated she had not tried to bolus since the mri until today.The patient stated she saw the alert, but was able to bolus right away and was showing her normal lockout time.Patient services had patient resync to the pump and the alerts were no longer there.The patient stated her pump had not been alarming and she did not go through any withdrawals.Patient services reviewed and redirected to hcp.While on the call, the patient stated she had an mri in that time frame.The patient stated the mri was (b)(6).The patient stated the mri was due to a lump on the spine where either the scs leads were or the catheter, she was not sure which.The patient stated the lump was noticed sometime in february and the lump was causing her a lot of pain.The patient stated she noticed the lump, then went to see the new managing physician so the hcp was aware of the issue.The issue was not resolved as troubleshooting was not needed.The patient was redirected to their healthcare provider to further address the issue.

Additional information received from the healthcare provider reported that the cause of the lump was not determined; further magnetic resonance imaging (mri) of the thoracic spine will be ordered to evaluate.
