Event Description
It was reported that after wearing the pod on the arm between 37 and 48 hours, the blood glucose (bg) levels rose up to 568 mg/dl, the site was burning, itching, irritated, infected and purulent.The patient visited the doctor, where was prescribed antibiotics (clindamycin) to be taken twice a day for 10 days and 2 days after on a second visit, a bandage was placed over the site with rivanol cream on.

The device has not been returned/received to date.If the device is received, a supplemental report will be submitted with the investigation results.We are unable to determine if any product condition could have contributed to customer's infusion site infection.No lot release records were reviewed, as the product lot number was not provided.
