(b)(4).During processing of this complaint, attempts were made to obtain complete event, patient and device information.(b)(4).There was no reported device malfunction and the product was not returned.Fever and infections are listed in the xience alpine everolimus eluting coronary stent systems instructions for use (ifu) as a known patient effect(s) of coronary stenting procedures.Although a relationship between the reported patient effect(s) and the device, if any, cannot be determined, there is no indication of a product quality issue with respect to manufacture, design, or labeling.A review of the lot history record identified no manufacturing nonconformities issued to the reported lot that would have contributed to this event.

It was reported the patient was re-admitted to the hospital with fever and concern for stent infection less than 30 days from the date of implant of a 2.5 x 23 mm xience xpedition stent.The type of treatment was not reported.There was no adverse patient sequela.No additional information was provided.
