Event Description
|
Customer reported via phone call to have been hospitalized on (b)(6) 2016 with blood glucose of 300 mg/dl.Customer was hospitalized due to high blood glucose and pneumonia.Customer was still hospitalized after five weeks.Customer was wearing insulin pump at the time of hospitalization.Customer called back on (b)(6), while still hospitalized, stating that buttons were not responding on insulin pump.Insulin pump would be replaced.

The pump passed the functional testing.However, the pump had intermittent button response during testing due to a flattened dome switch on the up arrow button, down arrow button, esc and act buttons.The lcd connector was inspected and no anomaly was noted.No physical damage was noted during visual inspection.
