It was reported that the external pulse generator presented with an error and then locked up immediately after the batteries were removed during a current drain test.Although it was not confirmed by looking at the tester, it appeared as though there were not any pulses after the error appeared based on the light emitting diode (led) lights on the external pulse generator. All that was allowed was for the external pulse generator to be powered off.The same error and fault signature appeared after shutting down and restarting the external pulse generator. The epg was returned for service. There was no patient involvement.
