Patient age not available from the site.A medtronic representative inspected the navigation system on-site and could not replicate the reported issue.The system functioned normally, and patient exams could be loaded from the network without difficulty during inspection.No parts were replaced.A full navigation system check-out was completed and all tests passed.Full system functionality was confirmed and the system was returned to service.
 
Event Description
A medtronic representative reported that during an ear, nose, and throat procedure, the navigation system unexpectedly became unresponsive.This reportedly occurred while the patient scans were being loaded from the network.The procedure was still able to be completed successfully with the use of the navigation system.There was reportedly no delay and the patient was not impacted.
 
Manufacturer Narrative
Additional information: per further software evaluation of the reported issue, there was indication of a possible computer hardware issue and the computer was replaced.The computer has been received for evaluation and is currently under analysis.

The computer was returned to the manufacturer for analysis.The system powered on and booted normally to login screen.There were no hdd or ram errors reported.The device was found to be fully functional.The reported event could not be duplicated by medtronic personnel.
