Event Description

The hospital reported the unit switched to battery power during a case, but was only able to run for 30 seconds before the unit shut down.There was no report of patient injury.

Additional information was received that a gehc service representative performed a checkout of the equipment and confirmed the reported complaint.The battery was replaced, and the unit was returned to service.
