It was reported that when an asymptomatic patient presented to clinic for routine device follow-up, an alert for eri and eos was observed.
Device showed eri reached on (b)(6) 2013 but the device was implanted on (b)(6) 2013.
The device also showed eos reached on (b)(6) 2016 and the battery voltage was normal.
The patient also had an icd placed on (b)(6) 2016.
It was believed that the diagnostic anomaly was due to the external interference from electrocautery use on or near the pacemaker.
A firmware download was performed successfully, which cleared the eri/eos alert.
The patient will be monitored with routine follow-up.
