Event Description
|
It was reported that during a cryoablation procedure after the sheath was advanced st elevation was observed as the sheath was advanced in the atrial septum.
Spasm was suspected but a coronary angiography (cag) using a cag catheter showed there was no stenosis.
It was believed that the st elevation was caused by air ingress; air in the ventricular apex and auricle was observed through fluoroscopy.
Air aspiration was performed with a mapping catheter and the st elevation resolved.
The procedure was then completed, and post-procedure, it was confirmed that the st elevation had resolved.
No patient complications have been reported as a result of this event.
