Event Description
|
It was reported that post surgery for a veterinary tibial plateau leveling osteotomy (tplo) surgical procedure on a canine, it was observed that the small battery drive device was cutting in and out as if it was not connected to the battery casing device properly.
According to the reporter, the surgeon kept tapping on the battery casing device to get it to work.
It was reported that a different casing was used with the same handpiece device to complete the procedure successfully.
There was an unspecified delay to the surgical procedure.
There was no human patient involvement as this was a veterinary procedure.
There were no reports of injuries, medical intervention or prolonged hospitalization.
All available information has been disclosed.
