Event Description
Dexcom was made aware on (b)(4) 2017, that on (b)(6) 2017, the patient experienced an intermittent audio output and an adverse event.It was reported that while the patient was at lunch with a friend, the patient's friend stated that the patient turned white and was sweating.The patient stated that he did not hear the audio on the receiver and was having a low as well as inaccurate values when he looked at the receiver.The patient was given gatorade and the emergency medical technician (emt) was called.The emt gave the patient ingestible glucose and after several minutes, the patient came to.The patient refused to go to the hospital and the emt stayed with the patient until they ate and drank more gatorade.At the time of contact, the patient was recovered.No additional patient or event information is available.No product or data were provided for evaluation.The reported event could not be confirmed.A root cause could not be determined.
