Event Description
|
A medtronic representative reported that while outside of procedure, the camera of the navigation system would not track instruments/trackers intermittently. After rebooting the system the camera tracked for 5-10 minutes and then stop tracking.Representative stated that the localizer was displayed as connected and receiving power. When checked the ndi tool box, positioning sensor unit (psu), and polaris spectra system control unit (scu) had an ok status in all fields.A medtronic technician recommended representative to check the stoppers on the boom.Representative mentioned that the boom was spinning freely without any stops which imply the cables inside the boom could be coiling up on each other and causing issues. There was no patient present at the time of the issue.
