No patient information provided as no patient was involved in this concern.A medtronic representative went to the site to test the equipment.The representative reported that the vga splitter for the navigation system was replaced.It was noted that the monitors would intermittently lose functionality still.A new computer for the navigation system was shipped to the representative, however confirmation of replacement has not been provided.The splitter was returned to the manufacturer for analysis.The device was found to be fully functional with no problem found.The reported event could not be duplicated by medtronic personnel.
 
Event Description
A medtronic representative reported that, while outside of a procedure, the monitors for the navigation system would intermittently lose functionality.It was noted that a connection on the monitor was loose and adjustment restored functionality temporarily.There was no patient present when this issue was identified.No additional information was provided.
 
Manufacturer Narrative
Device evaluation: the computer from the navigation system was returned to the manufacturer for evaluation.The reported issue could not be confirmed.The computer boots to the apps screen normally and passed all tests.No fault was found with the returned part.
