A medtronic representative went to site to test the equipment.Representative was unable to replicate the reported issue.A system checkout was performed and the hardware, software, and instruments passed the system checkout.The system was found to be fully functional.No parts were replaced.No parts have been received by the manufacturer for evaluation.
 
Event Description
A site representative reported that during functional endoscopic sinus surgery (fess), when loading patient scans via cd, the navigation system became unresponsive.After loading the scan, the mouse of the system would not move.A medtronic representative recommended site to reboot the system.It was reported that rebooting the system resolved the issue and site proceeded with case.The procedure was completed with the use of navigation.There was a delay of less than 1 hour.No impact on patient outcome.

The computer for the navigation system was returned to the manufacturer for analysis.The device was found to be fully functional with no problem found.The reported event could not be duplicated by medtronic personnel.
