No patient information provided as no patient was involved in this concern.Unique device identification (udi) is unavailable.Device manufacturing date is unavailable.A medtronic representative went to the site to test the equipment.It was reported that the computer for the navigation system was replaced.The hardware, software, and instruments passed the system checkout.The system was found to be fully functional.No parts have been received by the manufacturer for evaluation.
 
Event Description
A site representative reported that, while outside of a procedure, the navigation system would intermittently restart without prompt from the user.Clearing the patient archives and re-installation of application software did not restore functionality.There was no patient present when this issue was identified.No additional information was provided.

The computer was returned to the manufacturer for analysis.Analysis found that the computer would not power on.When the computer was connected to a test power supply, the computer passes seatools, memtest86 and phd without errors.The computer was found to have a bad powers supply.Analysis found that the reported event was related to a electrical issue.If information is provided in the future, a supplemental report will be issued.
