A medtronic representative went to the site to test the equipment.It was reported that the monitor of the navigation system was replaced to resolve the reported issue.The monitor for the navigation system was returned to the manufacturer for analysis.The device was found to be fully functional with no problem found.The reported event could not be duplicated by medtronic personnel.
 
Event Description
A site representative reported that, while in a spinal fusion, the monitor of the navigation system intermittently lost display functionality.It was reported that adjustment of the power cable would temporarily restore functionality.A second monitor from a second medtronic navigation system was brought into the operating room (or) to complete the procedure.There was no reported delay to the procedure due to this issue.There was no impact on patient outcome.No additional information was provided.
