Event Description
Information was received from a healthcare professional (hcp) via a manufacturer representative (rep) regarding a patient who was receiving 5 mg/ml dilaudid at 0.3530 mg/day via an implantable pump for malignant pain.It was reported that they were unable to aspirate the catheter during a dye study.The dye study was being done due to a lack of therapy and the home health nurse had reported volume discrepancies at the last two refills.A catheter revision would be planned.It was also noted that the patient was going through chemotherapy treatment and was reportedly having vomiting.No further issues were reported.

Additional information was received.It was reported that the patient had a feeding tube, so they were hoping to only have to revise the spinal end of the catheter.No further complications were reported.
