Event Description
Information was received from a health care provider (hcp) via a manufacturer representative regarding a patient with an implantable drug infusion pump indicated for spinal pain.The pump contained an unknown brand of morphine with an unknown concentration and dose [4 mg/ml] at a dose of 0.65 mg/day.It was reported an empty pump alarm was occurring.The patient missed a refill.The representative had access to a physician programmer.The representative stated the hcp did not want the patient to be getting any of the old drug, so they wanted to do a full system content removal.The new morphine concentration and dose were [1 mg/ml] and 0.1 mg/day.The event was reported to have occurred ¿two weeks ago¿ relative to the day of report ((b)(6) 2018).No patient symptoms/complications were reported.

Event Description
Additional information received from the hcp via the representative reported the issue was resolved as the pump was refilled and rep rogrammed to the new dose and concentration.The patient¿s weight at the time of the event was unknown.
