Dexcom was made aware on (b)(4) 2018, that on (b)(6) 2018, there was an inaccuracy between the continuous glucose monitor (cgm) and the blood glucose (bg) meter.No additional event or patient information is available.No data was provided for evaluation.The complaint confirmation of the reported inaccuracy could not be determined.A root cause could not be determined.

Event Description
Dexcom was made aware on (b)(4) 2018, via social media, that on (b)(6) 2018, the patient experienced an adverse event.The patient's daughter stated that the patient's dexcom system was not reading his high glucose readings correctly.She indicated that the patient ended up in ika with severe diabetic ketoacidosis and a heart attack.Additionally, the patient's daughter reported that the patient had several machines and they were all not reading his high glucose readings correctly.It was undetermined of what machines the patient was using.No additional patient or event information is available.
