Event Description
|
Information was received from a consumer regarding a patient who was receiving an unknown drug at an unknown dose and concentration via an implantable pump for failed back surgery syndrome and spinal pain.It was reported that the patient's pump was beeping, beginning "about two days" ago.The patient had an appointment for a refill in two days.No symptoms were reported.No further issues were reported or anticipated.Additional information was received from a consumer on (b)(6) 2018.It was reported the cause of the alarm was a missed appointment, drugs not being ordered in a timely manner and a rescheduled appointment being delayed.The patient called immediately for an appointment for a pump refill as a step to resolve the alarm.The alarm was noted to have resolved a week after the beeping started as a refill was done.No patient symptoms were reported.No further complications were reported.
