No patient information provided as no patient was involved in this concern.A medtronic representative went to the site to test the equipment.The representative reported that the monitor to navigation system was replaced.The hardware, software, and instruments passed the system checkout.The system was found to be fully functional.The monitor was returned to the manufacturer for analysis.Analysis found that at initial power up, the monitor displayed a (no input) popup window.When an analog input was connected to the monitor it displayed a blue screen with no image and a black line on the left side of the screen.A digital input was connected to the monitor and the monitor displayed an image with no failures.Analysis found that the reported event was related to a electrical issue.The hardware investigation found that the reported event was related to a hardware issue.This issue was documented in a medtronic navigation hardware anomaly tracking database.
 
Event Description
Medtronic received information regarding a navigation system outside of a procedure.It was reported that the navigation system's monitor was black.It was confirmed that there is not a "no input" signal.The cable was reseated and the computer booted successfully.There was no patient present.
