Event Description
Information was received from a manufacturer¿s representative (rep) regarding a patient who was implanted with an implantable neurostimulator (ins) for multiple back operations.The rep reported that the healthcare provider (hcp) called the rep to set up an appointment to check the battery because the patient couldn¿t charge her ins.The rep reported that the battery was 8 years old and the patient¿s history of previous overdischarges was unknown.The rep reported that they were seeing the patient (b)(6) 2018.The issue wasn¿t resolved.No further complications were reported.

Event Description
Additional information was received from the manufacturer's representative.It was reported that cause of the ins not charging, was due to patient not having charged for several months.The rep reported they verified the overdischarge and advised the patient that due to the age of the battery and history of previous od's it would probably be necessary to replace the battery.Patient is going to see a surgeon for a consult to get the battery replaced.
