|
Medtronic received information that, while outside of a procedure, the navigation system would power down after being unplugged from the outlet.It was noted the battery was not able to hold a charge.There was no patient present when this issue was identified.

The analysis on the battery was completed by medtronic personnel.Testing found that the battery would not pass load testing.The hardware investigation found that the reported event was related to a hardware issue.This issue was documented in a medtronic navigation hardware anomaly tracking database.

A medtronic representative went to the site to test the equipment.Testing revealed that after replacing the battery the system functioned as intended.The system then passed the system checkout and was found to be fully functional.If information is provided in the future, a supplemental report will be issued.
