The mother reported that the patient's blood glucose reached 380mg/dl while wearing the pod on her leg for between 24 and 36 hours.She stated that the cannula may have appeared bent more than usual when the pod was removed, she was having a hard time telling.Treatment included a shot and changing the pod.The mother had increased the patient's basal rate about a week prior to this occurrence, the patient had two different basal rates.(b)(6).
