Event Description
|
The patient¿s attorney alleged a deficiency against the device.The product was used for therapeutic treatment of a hernia.It was reported that after a procedure where this device was implanted, the patient experienced pain, adhesions, encased iliohypogastric nerves and ilioinguinal nerves, severe scarring of mesh to inguinal ligament.After treatment, the patient experienced revision surgery.

The patient¿s attorney alleged a deficiency against the device.The product was used for therapeutic treatment of an inguinal hernia.It was reported that after a procedure where this device was implanted, the patient experienced pain, adhesions, encased iliohypogastric nerves and ilioinguinal nerves, severe scarring of mesh to inguinal ligament.Post-operative patient treatment included revision surgeries, triple neurectomy (branch of ilioinguinal nerve removed, genital branch of genitofemoral nerve removed, sensory nerves removed), and explant of mesh.
