Event Description
Information was received from a consumer regarding a patient who was implanted with a neurostimulator (ins) for an unknown dbs therapy. It was reported that the patient was getting tremors on their left side and wasn't sure how to check to see if the stimulation was on or off. When they synced with the programmer the stimulation was shown to be off.Reviewed with caller how to turn stimulation on.Troubleshooting resolved the issue. The patient reported their tremors stopped but the patient wanted to make sure their amplitude settings were correct. The patient's helper during the call had some difficulty getting stimulation back on again. They stated they had to press the button multiple times before it turned back on again.Patient services reviewed that it may be due to user error or could have been stuck, however recommended that if the button appeared non functional in the future to contact patient services. It was stated the hcp did not give instruction on changing programs, and were redirected to hcp to confirm where amplitudes should be set. There were no further complications reported.
