The patient¿s attorney alleged a deficiency against the device.The product was used for therapeutic treatment of a hernia.After treatment, the patient experienced removal surgery, lysis of adhesions, pain, bleeding, erosion, fistula/abscess, infections, organ perforation, recurrence, and seroma.

|
The patient¿s attorney alleged a deficiency against the device.The product was used for therapeutic treatment of a chronically incarcerated ventral incisional hernia.During the implant procedure, the patient was noted to have dense omental adhesions at a site of a previous cholecystectomy.There were also omental adhesions to the central anterior abdominal wall beneath an old vertical midline scar.After treatment, the patient experienced adhesions, pain, bleeding, erosion, fistula/abscess, infections, organ perforation, seroma and recurrence of the hernia.Treatment included lysis of the adhesions and mesh removal.

The patient¿s attorney alleged a deficiency against the device.The product was used for laparoscopic therapeutic treatment of a ventral incisional hernia.It was reported that after the implant, the patient experienced adhesions at a site of a previous cholecystectomy as well as to the central anterior abdominal wall, pain, bleeding, erosion, fistula, abscess, infections, organ perforation, recurrence, seroma, small bowel obstruction, scar tissue, and knuckle of bowel with erythema.Post-operative patient treatment included revision surgery, lysis of adhesions, bilateral component separation, ventral hernia repair with strattice mesh underlay with fascia closure, postoperative transfer to icu, and excision of mesh.
