It was reported that the needle mechanism was very hard to remove with a bd nexiva¿ closed iv catheter system.The following information was provided by the initial reporter: nexiva bd iv il catheter 24 ga metal needle very tight mechanism to remove noticed when nurse preparing for iv insertion.

Investigation: during dhr review a non-related complaint was initiated during production.All other challenge, set-up and in process testing was performed according the control plan and all passed per specifications.No units or photos were provided for observation and/or testing of this incident therefore the alleged defect was not identified or confirmed and a root cause was not established.
