|
Patient allegedly received an implant on (b)(6) 2008 via the right internal jugular vein due to deep vein thrombosis (dvt).Patient is alleging vena cava perforation, organ perforation (small bowel/duodenum), and post implant pain.Patient notes and further alleges, "i also experience anxiety, mental anguish and stress about the status of my filter and any related injuries".Per the (b)(6) 2015 ct abd and pelvis wo contrast abdominal pain: "vessels: filter is noted in place in the infrarenal ivc, with at least 2 legs appearing to extend beyond the lumen of the ivc at the anterior and right lateral margins.The anterior leg is in close proximity to the adjacent duodenum without definite evidence of duodenal perforation".
