The device is included in the neuromodulation implantable pulse generator (ipg) inoperable when exposed to monopolar electrosurgery advisory notice issued by abbott on 02 june 2017.
 
Event Description
It was reported the patient was unable to communicate with the scs ipg and the patient controller. Reportedly, the patient had an unrelated surgery and has not been able to connect since. The patient stated he did not have the system in surgery mode and only turned it off. A company representative met with the patient and attempted a connection with the patient's scs system, but was unable to connect. The representative's clinician programmer displayed an error indicating the patient's scs ipg may be non-functional and would need to be replaced.
