The title of this report is ¿complications of the surgical treatment of carpal tunnel syndrome using the ¿knifelight¿ system.
¿ which is associated with the stryker ¿knifelight¿ system.
Within that publication, post-operative complications/ adverse events were reported which occurred from may 2011 to january 2012.
It was not possible to ascertain specific device details from the report, a review of the complaint handling database, however, revealed that the events have not been reported by the hospital or by the author of the publication, therefore 6 complaints were initiated retrospectively for different adverse events mentioned in the report.

The report states: ¿(b)(6) years old patient subject to surgical treatment for left cts, nine months ago.
The patient experienced improvement of the symptoms of nocturnal paresthesias after the intervention, but referred dysesthesia on the palm, at the level of the proximal palmar crease and hypesthesia in the ulnar edge of the second finger and radial of the third.
The examination showed a of positive tinel¿s sign in the proximal palmar crease, which gradually migrated to the distal crease over the months.
The patient was treated by rehabilitation with local massage on the scar.
