Medtronic received information regarding a navigation system that was used during a functional endoscopic sinus surgery (fess) of procedure. It was reported that the site was trying to merge a ct and mri.The software did not scale the exams correctly and the mri was zoomed in (bigger) when compared to the ct, so the exams did not merge. The fov of the ct was 217 and the fov for the mr was 240.Bit depth was 16 for the ct and 12 for the mr.The case did not require the mri, so the surgeon continued with the ct.There was no reported delay to the issue or impact on patient outcome.
