Event Description
Information was received from a consumer via a manufacturer representative (rep) regarding a patient receiving morphine sulfate 10 m g/ml for a total dose of 1.5 mg/day via an implantable pump.It was reported the patient complained the pump was uncomfortable in the patient's abdomen due to what they described as excessive scar tissue in/throughout their abdomen.It was also stated that the pump had been flipping in the patient's abdomen.It was unknown what factors may have led or contributed to the event.It was unknown what diagnostics/troubleshooting was performed.Actions/interventions included surgical intervention where the pump was moved to the patient's right flank area.It was noted that the issue was resolved.The patient's status at time of report was alive-no injury.The event date was (b)(6) 2019.No further complications were reported/anticipated.
 
Event Description
On 2020-oct-12, additional information was received from the patient.They reported their pump was moved to her back because the pump kept flipping in front.The pump was originally placed on (b)(6) 2019 and then in march they fixed the pump because it was flipping and then she could flip the pump herself.
