Event Description
The patient¿s attorney alleged a deficiency against the device.The product was used for therapeutic treatment of a hernia.It was reported that after the implant, the patient experienced mesh failure, pain, abdominal pain, gastrointestinal malfunction, grotesque swelling, scarring, disfigurement, loss of enjoyment of life, permanent physical disability, loss of physical, mental and emotional health, and hernia recurrence.Post-operative patient treatment included revision surgery and removal of mesh.

The patient¿s attorney alleged a deficiency against the device.The product was used for therapeutic treatment of a left inguinal hernia.It was reported that after the implant, the patient experienced mesh failure, pain, abdominal pain, gastrointestinal malfunction, grotesque swelling, scarring, disfigurement, loss of enjoyment of life, permanent physical disability, loss of physical, mental and emotional health, defective mesh, scar tissue, hernia recurrence, inflammation, mesh infection, two chronic draining sinus/fistulous tracts, abscess, mrsa, subcutaneous collection, fistula, pancreatitis, pus.Post-operative patient treatment included revision surgery, removal of mesh, ct scan, antibiotics, abscess drainage and packing, suture removal, partial mesh removal, jp drain placement, wound care.
