Total number of active research projects across all funding mechanisms biannually

Dictionary: The Tobacco Control Act gives the FDA broad authority to regulate tobacco-product manufacturing, distribution and marketing. Implementation of these regulatory authorities is expected to reduce tobacco-related morbidity and mortality in the long term and to influence tobacco-product risk perceptions and use patterns in the short term. To understand how well these new regulatory authorities are working as well as inform CTP where more work is needed, CTP is working to build a robust research program across a broad range of disciplines utilizing a number of different funding mechanisms.
