Should there be a lapse in appropriations after September 30, 2023, FDA will not have staff to log new FOIA requests or process existing FOIA requests during that time. All FOIA work will resume when the government has been funded.

FDA FOIA Online Request Submission Information

By submitting a request through this portal, you attest and certify that all the information provided herein is true and accurate to the best of your knowledge. Unauthorized or improper use of this system may result in disciplinary action, as well as civil and criminal penalties.

The collected information is used by Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) staff involved in FOIA correspondence and processing, and by appeals officials and members of the Office of the General Counsel. Provision of the requested information is mandatory. Failure to provide the information may result in the agency’s inability to respond to your request. The agency’s routine uses (disclosures) of this information are available in the System of Records Notice (SORN) numbered 09-90-0058, “Freedom of Information Case Files and Correspondence Control Log,” which is available through www.hhs.gov.
