Authors:

Drug:
Isoeugenol
Fish species:
Salmon, Atlantic
Date:
2009

Sample:
blood, plasma
Ave Weight (gm):

Ave Water temp (°C):

Water:
Saltwater
Dosage:
29 mg/l
Route:
BATH
Comments:
Gill ventilation after exposure. Fish were sedated with metomidate hydro3chloride (0.25 mg/l) for dorsal aorta cannulation and anaesthetized with MS-222 (60 mg/l). T1/2 alpha=0.3 min. Cmax=35 ug/ml. MRT=16.8 min. Plasma cortisol peaked at 60 min at 612 ng/ml. Ventilation following exposure exposure greatly increased elimination rate. Anaesthetics were administered in two steps; an initial ten minute, low dose sedation, followed by a full strength anaesthesia bath.
