Authors:
Faroongsarng D, Chiayvareesajja S, Chandumpai A, Theapparat Y
Drug:
Oxytetracycline
Fish species:
Shrimp, whiteleg
Date:
2009

Sample:
hepatopancreas
Ave Weight (gm):

Water:
Saltwater
Dosage:
0.01 mg/kg - sd
Route:
IS
Comments:
Salinity = 20 ppt. Distribution was extensive, with PO administration greater than IS (approx. 2.3% greater). It was demonstrated that hepatopancreatic oxytetracycline may undergo significant first pass elimination with non linear kinetics. There was no mortality in the experimental animals.
